07-28-15 Good Morning

"Good morning" is a greeting, of course. But it is also a descriptive phrase lacking a verb. So here's the complete sentence: On this day, the first day of the 2015 Black Hills Photo Adventure, our group was on "the Rock," the sun had just come up, there was no wind, the threat of rain had moved through, and it was a good morning to be out taking photos.

Yes, it's a wordy sentence but that what I think when I see this photo.

(My one line tease about Lincoln's shadow on Roosevelt is inspired by the song "Wind Beneath My Wings," which was recorded by many artists but made most popular by Bette Midler in 1988. My photos often inspire rampant free association in me. Sorry about that. . . . )
