About 99% of the photos I took in St. Paul last weekend were of granddaughter Glenyce Jane. She has the ability to narrow my field of vision, I guess.

But I did point my camera at other subjects a couple of times, including this single yellow flower growing in a beautiful flower garden that bordered a sidewalk near our son and daughter-in-law's house.

I took several pictures showing more of the whole bed of flowers. I liked this one best, in part because of the narrow depth of field, which turns the purple flowers in the background into mere suggestions. It gives the viewer the ability to provide the context for this simple yellow flower.
