09-01-17 Same Old Place, Different Day
By Scott Shephard
I refer to this place as "the old farm north of Miller." I would prefer to call it by the name of the people who once lived and farmed here but they are unknown to me. Maybe someone reading this can help?
That aside, this isn't the first time I've photographed this subject. But I just couldn't resist - especially on a morning such as this. It was a comfortably cool Sunday morning in late August. The sun, strong and promising, had just risen. And there was no wind and there was no sound of traffic on nearby highway 45. Only the occasional sound of bellowing cattle disturbed the perfect South Dakota silence.
