If you were hoping to find something patriotic in today's post, I'm sorry. My title is literal - you are seeing dawn's early light illuminating these leaves. And whether the subject is worthy or not, its' good light.

Eos, the name Canon puts on their cameras, was the Greek goddess of dawn. In my landscape photography, I spend a lot of quality time with her. In fact, my wife should be wondering about that relationship. . . .
