05-12-14 Not So Long Ago . . . .

I suppose you could call this "Flashback Monday," though it wasn't my intent to go looking for an old photo to post. But I couldn't resist showing you this one when I found it during a spring cleaning project.

This photo was taken before Deb DeGeest became Deb DeGeest Shephard over 40 years ago. I'm guessing she was 19 or 20 in this photo. I see no engagement ring on her finger, though I'm sure I must have thought that we were certainly a good pair when I took this photo.

The picture, incidentally, was captured on film and hand developed. The print that I scanned to make this digital copy was hand made in my primitive darkroom. The camera was a Pentax SP500 35mm SLR camera and had been given to me by my parents as a high school graduation gift. The camera was a treasure though Deb was certainly a much greater treasure.
