20.04.03 Missouri River Sunrise

Note: This post appeared on my Facebook page and given that some who subscribe to this blog through email aren’t Facebook friends, I’m posting to my “Photo A Day” blog. And for those who notice things like this, it has been more than a day since the last “Photo A Day.” 66 to be exact. Time flies. .
Counting today, the sun has risen over 23,00 times during my life. So I suppose you could say that there is nothing all that special about this particular sunrise. But when I think about any sunrise, I think about the hope and promise that is present in the sun’s incipience. Today, especially, I have hope for the world. More than that, I have hope for the safety of my family, my friends and for all those who are there to help us should we need them. It is hard to ignore all of the uncertainty that surrounds us these days. But this morning I could put all of that aside, lose myself in this glorious moment then smile and wonder what good things this world would bring today.
