20.10.26 Family Portrait - Failing Forward
By Scott Shephard
There is a reason that most of my photos are of nearly inanimate people-less scenes and, when I do take photos of people, there’s only one in the frame. Getting a group of people (especially a 7 year old, a 5 year old, a 3 month old and 2 parents) to all act as a team is not my strong suit.
We did get a couple of keepers from this session but this one is one of my favorite “rejects” because it records a moment in a family’s life and a photographer’s experience that might otherwise be forgotten.
Glenyce and Dad recovered and the session went on after this brief meltdown. And Katie, as always, is composed, patient and good humored.
