I apologize to my Facebook friends for posting a photo that is close to the photo I posted there yesterday. But the Instagram photo was taken with my iPhone, and it didn't quite give you a sense of the locale. So I also used my DSLR to photograph Wandering Star resting quietly along a shore in Mission Creek on beautiful Lake Oahe.
Our sailing season is short here in South Dakota but somehow I think that's OK. If I could sail every day all year long, maybe I wouldn't be as enthralled with Oahe as I am. And, given that I will be taking the boat off the water in a few days, I had an absolutely perfect day to visit Mission Creek, one of my favorite places on earth. And when I'm frustrated with short and cold days this winter, I will close my eyes and imagine myself here. Or, even better, I will look at the photo. :-)
