This wasn’t exactly the “official” “big oak tree” portrait but it is my favorite one of Ibby taken earlier this month. Ibby is seriously photogenic but is much harder to photograph than her sister Glenyce was at the same age. Right now, if I’m lucky, she’s at the “Cheese” stage when she sees my camera. More often, she just turns away. I got lucky on this one. For some reason I think of the line in the 1980s song by Kim Carnes when I think of Ibby: “She’s got Greta Garbo standoff sighs; she’s got Bette Davis eyes.”
