When Deb and I left our camp site near the Beaver Lake Dam yesterday morning, there was pre-dawn light but there were low clouds in the east. My mission was to find a place where I could fly the drone to get a shot of what I knew was a pretty special piece of the world at an opportune time of year.
Just before we stopped on a ridge to set up to find a photo or two, I said to Deb that all we needed was “Mr. Sun. Mr. Sun. Mr. Golden Sun.” And when the sun obliged, this is what I found.
