Sorry, but I can’t resist taking photos of big, tropical leaves, especially when they exposure their undersides. A fetish? I don’t think so. When you leave the monotone hues of the upper Great Plains in winter and walk amongst the humid, verdure of a Florida botanic garden, it’s hard to resist.

For me it is also hard to resist all of the lines and textures of a subject like this. Of course, the leaf is ignoring my camera. It is only focused on turning sunlight in to food, and in the process nibbling away at the carbon dioxide swirling around it. Thank you, Tropical Leaf.
