22.10.03 Bouquet

By Scott Shephard

When I looked at this group of aspen trees from a drone’s-eye-view, I right away thought of a bouquet of flowers - thus the title of this post. Knowing the word bouquet is French, I wondered about its origin. Imagine my surprise when I learned that it originally meant “a group or cluster of trees.” Go figure . . . .

This photo was taken in the Black Hills and is but a small sample of the explosion of color everywhere we go. This trip wasn’t intended as a “fall color” tour. But we certainly got lucky.
