Those who follow the occasional posts to this blog might think that this is yet another drone photo*. But it isn't. I'm looking down from the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is one of the more spectacular roads I've ever been on. And given that the fall colors for this area are a bit "past their prime," there were virtually no cars for the two hours Deb and I spent traveling this road.
For most of the three days Deb and I had been in Virginia and West Virginia it was cloudy. But for a short time yesterday, the clouds broke and late afternoon sunlight flooded the valley below. Thank you Sun!
*I should mention that drone flight is explicitly forbidden in national parks and monuments and while I did have my drone with me, it never left the case. :-)
