26.10.02 Concrete & Sequential?

By Scott Shephard

You may disagree but I think that there is little room for creativity in lawn mowing - especially if efficiency and appearance are primary factors. I do remember that a next door neighbor mowed his back yard once by starting in the middle and spiraling outward. THAT was impressive to me. I am easily impressed by things that seem iconoclastic and abstract and random, such as yesterday’s corn field and my neighbor’s spiraled yard.

But I have to admit that I also impressed by lawns that are mowed with geometric perfection, such as this one. It is a short distance away from the water tower pictured 3 days ago and, like the corn field, it was an accidental discovery.

From the street, this lawn is as lush and green as any yard I drive by. But my drone has given me the opportunity to see this yard from another dimension. Kudos to whomever is responsible for this!
