The song goes "It's only a paper moon rising over a cardboard sea. . ." But this moon is real, and if you're willing to believe me, given the ethereal look, a lunar eclipse is just starting to shade the left side of the moon.
In fact, the reason Ingrid, Larry and I went to The Rock last night was to see if we could photograph the eclipse. But clouds and obligations to friends and family waiting back at the cabin precluded that. But the three of us still felt like going up to the top of The Rock was well worth it.
On a technical note, I probably don't need to tell you that the clouds play a crucial role in this photo. Thank you clouds. And you, too, super moon.
