I don't really like much about winter though how I can I not like granddaughter Ibby out on a beautiful windless December afternoon with her fashionable snow suit and her day-glo shovel?
Every time I see a child in a bulky snowsuit I think of the scene in "The Christmas Story" where little brother Randy is getting ready for school. Randy complains to his mom that "he can't put [his] arms down!" and his older brother describes him as "a tick that was about to pop."
Ibby walked a little like Frankenstein at first but actually had pretty good mobility. She didn't move much snow yesterday but give her a few years and she and Glenyce will be doing the whole driveway.
