This photo almost qualifies as “vintage” in that it was taken almost 8 years ago. Deb and I are at the top of “The Rock” in the Black Hills. “The Rock,” as many in my circle know, is one of my favorite places.
As much as Deb and I like the Black Hills, neither of us is a fan of selfies, so that’s why I had to go back in time to find today’s photo. I’m inspired to quote the famous poet Bill Withers:
Just the two of us
We can make it if we try
Just the two of us
(Just the two of us)
Just the two of us
Building castles in the sky
Just the two of us
You and I
Cheesy? I could sing it and include the audio file. But that would be more than cheesy. How about shocking . . . ?
