Sir Walter Scott, whose most famous novels are Ivanhoe and Rob Roy, was the first truly international author. His historical novels were, and in some cases, still are widely read. And what results from such success? How about building a nice house in the country?
The visit to Abbotsford, as it is known, isn't something I would have done on my own, but I am certainly glad I went. And as you can see, it was another picture perfect day in a country that is more typically cool and rainy at this time of year.
