Our two cats get far too much attention from Deb and me these days. I guess you look somewhat inward when you are observing self quarantine during a pandemic. Plus, having Zeke, a mature, totally “cool” older cat in the same house with a hyper kitten does make for good entertainment from time to time.
Zeke’s morning routine is to follow me down to my office when I get up. Shortly after that, Joey bounces in. Lately, I see nothing threatening in the looks Zeke gives Joey but perhaps out of a sense of self-preservation Joey tends to go to higher ground when she’s in my room when Zeke is there.
Higher ground is behind a lamp I have up on the cabinet where my big photo printer sits. Joey normally just stares down in to the light before moving on. But yesterday she allowed me to get my camera and then gave me this look. Is she smiling at me here? With cats, it’s always hard to tell.
