09-12-14 State House Triptych
By Scott Shephard
Deb and I spent a few days in Salt Lake City a year ago and while she was attending meetings, I wandered with my camera. On the last morning I went up the the Utah state capitol building, which sits impressively on a hill.
It is no doubt a bustling hive of industry during the legislative session but on the day I was there I had the place to myself, which is my kind of place. I spent an hour there taking several photos but these three are my favorites.
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by people at the Capitol wondering if my photos were available for purchase. It turns out they want to display them. When I am doing this kind of photography, I am never thinking about its commercial value. I do it just because I can.
But I said, "Yes," of course. And so early next week these three photos are being sent off to the Utah state house as individual 10"x15" mounted prints. I'm proud.
Forgive me if I say that all of my photos are available for sale as signed works of art. They come in many sizes and make great Christmas presents. :-)
