On our recent road trip to southern California I was only able to fly my drone three times. Either we were pushing to cover 500 or 600 hundred miles in a particular day or we were in urban settings with many people. The other problem was rain and/or wind - or both.
But everything cooperated on this occasion. We had left Zion National Park before seven and were not too far from Page, Arizona, when we passed the Toadstool Hoodoos. Very photogenic.
If you are wondering what a hoodoo is, check out the photos below and look for the drum- or barrel-like structures on the top. The Badlands in South Dakota look like this formation but as far as I know, there are no hoodoos there.
