It would appear that I have a boat fetish, given that several of my recent posts have to do with boating. My love of boating isn't why I chose this collage of boats, however.
Instead, I went looking for photos I had taken and made a few years ago and this one jumped out at me. The boats had wonderful color but my choice of black and white was calculated to accentuate the lines and texture, especially of the beads of rain.
These boats, incidentally, were on a small lake in Slovenia named Bohinj (pronounced Boh-heen). Deb and I were well off the beaten path during our two day stay there and were, I think, the only Americans in the whole area. Perfect.
If I had been hired to photograph these boats, I would have taken a hose and sprayed them down since the beads of water are what make them so photogenic. But, fortunately, it had rained during the night. Thank you, God.
