By Scott Shephard
When I went looking for a photo to post today, this one from 2010 jumped out at me. I like the contrast between the modern pedestrian walkway known as the "Millennium Bridge" and the simple but imposing dome of St. Paul's Cathedral. And, in case you are wanting a brief English lesson today, one definition of juxtaposition is the placement of two things/events/people side by side so as to accentuate the contrast between them. There is certainly a contrast of styles in this photo.
London, like many other very old cities, is filled with contrasts, which for a photographer like me, is one of the many things that makes European travel to rewarding.
Deb and I are going back to London as local leaders of a tour group in the Spring of 2015. I can't wait.
