A while back I had promised a photo of Iron Creek featuring snow and so here it is. This photo was taken in 2012 after more than a foot of pure wet snow had fallen. I think I posted this photo to this blog years ago but I figured it’s worth sharing again.
It wasn’t easy hiking here from the main road and it was even harder getting down the fairly steep slope to the creek. I’m standing on a slippery rock and my tripod is set up on solid rocks under the flowing water. I’m not sure I’d risk my expensive gear and my increasingly fragile body these days. But back then? I think it was worth the effort.
