Deb and I are on a 6 day camping trip that includes 4 nights in 3 campgrounds on or near Lake Superior. One of the more photographed points along Lake Superior is the Split Rock Lighthouse about an hour north of Duluth and 5 minutes away from one of our campgrounds. So here’s yet another of the millions of photos of the lighthouse.
I was lucky with this shot as I hadn’t really planned on taking a sunrise photo - we just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
I’ve got more of this lighthouse from 3 more locations. I’ll share them tomorrow. Right now we’re gearing up to head to Duluth to witness the arrival of one of the biggest boats on the Great Lakes to the Port of Duluth - the Paul R Tregurtha. It’s a little over 1000’ long. (305 meters)
