While I don't keep track, I think that our oldest son Brian gets more space on this blog than our youngest son, Jon. That's not due to lack of love, of course. It just happens that we see Brian more than Jon. In a typical year, we might see Jon 3 or 4 times.
But that's nobody's fault. Jon just happens to be off in exotic locations most of the time. In this photo, he is pictured in Sitka, Alaska, where he worked for a two summers a few years ago. These days he's in Alaska during the summer months and the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, during the winter. And when he isn't working, he's in dull places like Hawaii, Seattle and Indonesia. It'a a rough life.
Deb and I are looking forward to spending a week on Jon's ship The Safari Endeavor at the beginning of February. He is chief mate and so he will be working. So I guess it will be even more fun to watch him work. While we relax in the warm weather of Mexico. :-)
