Being at the right place at the right time is a a key to making an interesting picture. Though, as Ansel Adams said, “Fortune favors the prepared mind.” I guess I was ready for this shot . . . .

It is amazing thing to attempt to swim with these playful sea-lion pups.

This morning I’m alone with my thoughts but I’m in a pretty crowded room.

By June (or maybe earlier?) maybe we’ll have a bridge to Somewhere?

05-05-14 Cafe Terrace At Night? (HDR)

May 05, 2014 in Architecture, Art, Blog, HDR, people, Portrait

The title of this post was stolen from Vincent Van Gogh, whose painting by the same name is one of his best known (click). I am no Vincent Van Gogh, partly because I am pretty well balanced and am not despised by the conventional artistic community, but also largely because I am not a visionary genius. And I can live with all of that.

This self-portrait was taken while I was finishing a project for Office Peeps, one of the best office supply and office design enterprises in the Midwest. (Joel and LuAnn, if you are reading this, I am officially done and will be sending you the results in two or three days.)
