There is certainly a paradox here given the vast amount of water that laps shores that are considered semi-arid desert.

07-04-15 "Are You Talkin' to Me??!!"

July 04, 2015

By Scott Shephard

I know what you're thinking: "Did they sign a model release to grant permission to be publicized?" In a word, no. But I'm protected by the law, which says that I don't need permission if the subjects are in a public space and there was no "expectation of privacy." Besides, they're dogs!

If you weren't thinking that, you might have noticed that my post title is a reference to the famous Robert de Niro line in "Taxi Driver." De Niro plays a pugnacious character in the movie and the dog in the driver's seat made me think of him. (Neither dog actually spoke to me.)

However, it's possible you aren't thinking at all, which best allows you to appreciate this photo for what it is: a snapshot of two loyal friends waiting for their master to return.
