What does it say about me as a photographer that two of my favorite subjects want to run away from me? Don't answer that question . . . .
You will no doubt recognize the runaway on the right as Glenyce Jane Shephard, who wasn't so much running away from me as she was just enjoying the freedom of the Great Outdoors.
The runaway on the left is GJ's mother, Katie, who is running away from my camera just for the fun of it. Both shots record unscripted and spontaneous joy. And I was lucky to be present for both.
