You are looking at beautifully crafted miniature cupcakes, which were part of the many things that made the celebration of Katie and Julia's relationship at the Ernst residence so special. They were made by Katie's paternal grandmother Marion.
I'm guessing they tasted as good as they looked, though I was so caught up in how they appeared through my macro lens, I forgot to sample one. But I can savor them forever now that I've captured them. :-)
