Those of you who are loyal to this blog will know that I have been away for a while. On vacation? Off the grid? Unmotivated? Pick one. Or all. But they don't really provide an adequate reason for my lack of interest in an enterprise that I started about 1700 posts ago.
But what better subject to make my return with than our son Brian and his daughter Glenyce Jane? The last time I saw her, she was celebrating her 1st birthday. She's now two months older but the change is amazing. She walks. She talks ("Kitty" "dada" "mama" etc.). She eats bananas, ice cream and other delicacies. And she knows some basic sign language, which is great for people like me who aren't fluent in Baby Talk.
The sign we most frequently see is "Please," an efficient synonym for "more." I think "More, please" is a pretty good life philosophy at her age. Why not more bananas, more ice cream, more books, more music, more joy? Why not more of everything? Please.
