For the most part, fall color has not arrived at the edge of west central border of Iowa and Nebraska. But if you are willing to go hunting, you will find a few photogenic subjects. In the case of of these leaves I had to walk into the fairly deep woods to find them.
Fortunately, there was a small ray of diffuse morning light to showcase these leaves, who were giving it all they had before Fall (and gravity) got the better of them.
