Someone once said that “every picture tells a story.”* If that’s true, then you might say that this photo is an illustration of eccentricity. But, as someone else said, “you’re not getting the whole story.”**
For, you see, you are looking at a family tradition of holding young Shephard children upside down for portraits. Unfortunately, I am away from my primary computer this morning and thus am unable to offer graphic proof. But believe me***. It’s true.
So far, all of the young subjects of these photos have developed or are developing into normal human beings. And, as you can see, Maggie is quite relaxed with the whole idea, though she is still learning the definition of “normal.”
