I have taken hundreds of photos of Iron Creek but I have never photographed this part of the stream, mainly because I am not equipped for the rocks and water depth. But on this day I had my flying camera with me, aka Phantom 4 Pro drone. It had snowed fairly significantly a day or two before I visited and the warm weather made for good snow melt. It was a perfect time to be here.
On a technical note, this is a 5 frame HDR photo, with the slowest shutter speed being 1/8 of a second. Because of this, there is just enough blur in this photo to give a good sense of the motion of the water.

I have to wonder if the person who mowed this lawn used GPS to get the lines so perfectly straight and perpendicular?
Getting an interesting photo is often about being at the right place at the right time. Sometimes, as with this photo, it’s about getting to the right place at the right time.

By June (or maybe earlier?) maybe we’ll have a bridge to Somewhere?
