One of my photographic projects right now is to take photos for Turbak Law Office, which is located in what many in Watertown, SD, still refer to as "the Old Post Office." It is a beautifully crafted structure, made as many government building were back in the early 20th century. And Turbak Law is doing a wonderful job of re-puposing the high-ceilinged main floor.

It happened that exterior work was being done on the structure and I was allowed to go up in a lift that allowed me to see and photograph some of the details of this building in a way that I doubt anyone else ever had. I have seen this eagle many times from sidewalk level and it was thrilling to see this hand-carved American symbol at close to eye level.
