My trip down memory lane continues. Today you are looking at me taking what I think is a very creative picture of Lake Louise, which is in Banff National Park in Canada. There’s a lot going on in this photo, including another photographer who appears to be setting up for a group photo behind me. And, if you look carefully, you will even find a bagpiper.
I took this photo close to 50 years ago on the same trip I took the photo of my uncle Harold a couple of days ago. Remarkably, I remember taking this one, mainly because of the curved man standing next to me. I didn’t know him - he was just another tourist. After I took the photo, he asked, “Do you think it will work?” I said that I’d have to wait to see. But as I walked away, I thought, “I think I’ve got something pretty cool.” I looked back and he was taking his own selfie.
I’m less impressed with myself as a photographer these days. But I am proud of this photo.
