They say that every picture tells a story and if you agree and already have a story for this photo, you can stop reading. But there is a back story.
A few minutes before I took this photo of wife Deb and mother-in-law Glenyce, I had asked them to pose for an informal portrait on a perfect fall morning in Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. Almost simultaneously they said, "No." Or perhaps, "NO WAY!" It's rare that I want to take a photo of the two of them and their denial peeved me.
And so, as they walked away from me, I took their picture anyway, though they were unaware that I was stalking them. They are out of focus in this shot but that was intentional. I'll show them what I think is most important when I take their portrait!
