A few mornings ago I was setting my lights up for an “official” family portrait and Glenyce J wandered out of Deb’s office, which also served as the bedroom for the two oldest granddaughters. She had just woke up and was carrying her skateboard (a Christmas present) and her Arctic Hare (a World Wildlife Fund creature - also a present.)
I said, “You are just in time. I need a test subject.” She consented but said as she was sitting down that her hair was “a mess.” I said, “It’s perfect” and we took a few photos, this one being my favorite.
Because I have photographed Glenyce from almost the day she was born, she is pretty comfortable in front of the camera. For 9 years now she has been one of my favorite human subjects.
